7th grade Gold A vs Magnolia JH (25-6 win)
7th grade Gold B vs Magnolia JH (14-13 win)
8th grade Purple A vs Willow Wood (20-7 loss)
8th grade Purple B vs Willow Wood (18-12 win)
8th grade Gold A vs Magnolia JH (20-14 loss)
8th grade Gold B vs Magnolia JH (26-0 loss)
7th Grade Purple Football: The 7th grade Purple A-Team hosted the Willow Wood Wildkats this week and were defeated 20-6.  The Bears scored their touchdown on a 60 yard pass from Caleb Campbell to Juwan Raglin.  The Purple B-Team won 12-6.  The7th grade Purple team will host Waller Schultz next Monday.
7th Grade Gold Football:  The 7th  grade Gold A-Team defeated Magnolia Jr High 25-6.  Jordan Hood threw a 40 yard touchdown to Jake Prigmore and a 10 yard TD to Trysten Gese.  Trayveon Franklin ran for two long touchdowns and Ben Sheilds added an extra point.  The defense played great.  Jody Miller snagged an interception to seal the win.  Great job.  The 7th grade Gold B-Team defeated Magnolia this week 14-13 in a hard fought come from behind victory.  Trailing 13-0 after the first half, Hayden Sutherland connected to Patrick Locke for the touchdown, then carried for the P.A.T.  With 1:42 left to play, Baylen Mills connected with Caleb Youngblood to tie the game, then carried for the winning P.A.T.  Strong defensive play, led by Mills and Locke helped the Bears to the win.  Good job Bears!
8th Grade Purple Football:  The 8th grade Purple A-Team traveled to Willow Wood Jr High this week.  The first half of the game was a defensive battle with the Bears traveling at the half 7-12, with Ricky Queen scoring our TD and Michael St. Kelly completing our extra point.  The defense played hard but could not hold off Willow Wood.  The final score of the game was 7-20.  The Purple B-Team offense played very well this week against Willow Wood.  Shawn Bolt scored 2 touchdowns and Peter Williams scored another touchdown, defeating Willow Wood 18-12.  The defense also played well with Eugene Reyes intercepting the ball in less than a minute to go in the game, securing the win for the Bears. Good job Bears from all the coaches.  The 8th grade Purple Team will travel to Waller Schultz next week.  Please come out and support your team.
8th Grade Gold Football: The 8th grade Gold Team was at home this week to take on the Bulldogs from Magnolia Jr High.  For the 8th grade Gold A-Team, just like in past years, this game would be close for all four quarters.  The Bears started the game on offense and wasted no time as they drove the ball down the field and scored to take the lead 6-0.  The Bears defense played hard and fast all night.  The Bulldogs scored on their second possession to make it 6-6, but our offense answered right back as the Bears took the ball right back down the field and scored to make it 14-6.  The Bulldogs would score again to make it 14-14 at the half.  The second half would be no different as both teams played hard.  But with 3:00 left in the game, the Bulldogs scored to make it 20-14 and that would be it as the Bears fell short in the end.  The Bears Gold B-Team offense would move the ball all night on the Bulldogs.  The Bears defense played hard and fought all night but could not pull it out in the end as they fell to the Bulldogs 26-0.  Great job!

7th grade Purple B vs Magnolia JH (0-6 loss)
7th grade Gold A vs Bear Branch (19-19 tie)
7th grade Gold B vs Bear Branch (13-0 loss)
8th grade Purple A vs Magnolia JH (21-0 loss)
8th grade Purple B vs Magnolia JH (26-12 loss)
8th grade Gold A vs Bear Branch (0-0 tie)
8th grade Gold B vs Bear Branch (18-0 win)
7th Grade Purple Football: The 7th grade Purple football team traveled to Magnolia JH this week to face the Bulldogs.  The Purple A-Team played tough on defense all night and were able to rally with a come from behind victory, winning 7-6.  The Purple B-Team had opportunities to score but could not get the ball in the end zone, losing 6-0.  Great job Bears and good luck next week against Willow Wood.
7th Grade Gold Football:  The 7th grade Gold A-Team played a very good Bear Branch team and ended with a 19-19 tie.  There were many highlights in the game.  Jordan Hod threw a 50 yard touchdown to Austin Pritchett and two touchdowns to Jake Prigmore.  Hood also connected with Ryan Brock on an extra point for the tie.  With 30 seconds left in the game, Brock Nickerson intercepted a pass to insure the tie.  Great job!!! The 7th Grade Gold B-Team lost 13-0 this week to Magnolia Bear Branch. The Bears defensive unit played solid, but the offensive unit just could not get on track last night.
8th Grade Purple Football: The 8th grade Purple teams traveled to Magnolia Junior High this week. The first half of the Purple A-Team game was truly a battle, with the Bears trailing at the half 7-0. The Bears fought hard the second half but could not overcome the weather. The Bears lost 21-0.  The 8th grade Purple B-Team fought hard all night long. The Bears went into halftime trailing Magnolia 12-13, and the battle would continue all night. Unfortunately, the Bears came up short losing to Magnolia 12-26. Good Job Bears from all the coaches.  Please come out and support your team as we face the Willow Wood on Tuesday, October 23rd in Willow Wood.
8th Grade Gold Football: The 8th grade Gold teams were at home Tuesday to take on the Bears from Bear Branch Jr. High School. The Gold Team A-Team game was a long, rainy game but it must have seemed even longer for the Bear Branch offense as the Bears’ defense shut them down all night. Some stand outs on defense were Nick Beazley, DylanWright, O'Brien Williams, Chad Phillips, Waverly Hampton, Drew Smith and Tim Poldo. The Bears offense took care of the ball all night and played hard until the very end but the game would end in a tie 0-0. This game was a great game by your Bears as Bear Branch had not lost a game all year. The Gold B-Team started the night off with a bang. The Bears ran all over the defense all night long. Carson DeCoster and Hunter Grimmett ran for over 200 yards for the night as the Bears beat Bear Branch 18-0. Great job to both Gold teams from the coaches.

Volleyball Highlights

7th Grade Volleyball: The Lady Bear 7th grade A-Team took down Waller in two quick games last night.  What a great way to end the season.  Coach Price really enjoyed coaching this wonderful group of girls!  Way to go on a good season:  Sophia Franke, Reagan Pustka, Mackenzi Masich, Kennadie Cochran, Mamie Gray, Hannah Anderson, Payden Montgomery, Tori Meador, Micalyn Ely, Alexa VonGontard, and Kelsey Elliott. The 7th grade Lady Bear B-Team took down Waller in two quick games last night.  They played well and ended the season with a 10-3 record!  Great job on a great season to these girls:  Kinsey Shanks, Arianna Pinon, Mikayla Martin, Brooklyn Myers, Kiera Wheeler, Mallory Talbert, Olivia Neal, Skyler Teague, Charlotte Merdian, Savannah Wendt, Leigh Freeman, and Payton Morel.    The 7th grade C-Team had a wonderful season.  They won every game.  Success is not always measured by wins and losses, but by how we play the game, through sportsmanship, teamwork and attitude.  These girls displayed all of the above:  Alyssa Preuss, Hope VanHaverbeke, Kaylee Scott, Caroline Hall, Leah Perry, Bailee Gatewood, Julia Smith, Christina Cane, Isabella Ling, Emilee Derossett, Madison Allbright, Hope Change, Lauren Olivero, Chloe Patterson, and Tori Poldo.
8th Grade Volleyball: Last night, our Lady Bear 8th grade A-Team took the court against the Waller Lady Bulldogs. The girls played great and gave up very few points, winning the match 25-14 and 25-11. We had solid serves from Maggie Page, Narissa Collier, and Brittany Oldner. Our defense was spot on from Grace Bache and Addison Barron. Dani St. Pe and Brittany Gilliam contributed greatly to the success of our offense. Lauren Endres and Sierra Travis played the net well and let very little get past their block! Way to finish the season with a win!  Coach Reed is very proud of every one of you! The 8th grade B-Team took the volleyball court last night hoping to finish the season with a victory. A victory is exactly what they fought for. Winning the first game 25-18 we had Brooke Turley, Abby Young, Mackenzie Coleman, Lauren Perry, Allie Spitalerie, and Clarianne Aguilar. To finish off the Bulldogs in game two, winning 25-10 we had Baily Kieselhorst, Marli Lemons, Aliyah Ditta, Taylor Skinner, Sierra Seale, and Felicity Collier. What an awesome season girls! Finished with a final record of 9-4. Proud of how far you have come!! The Lady Bears 8th Grade C-Team took the court last night against Waller. Looking to end the season on a high note and that is exactly what they did. Taking the Bulldogs to 3 games and defeating them. We had awesome serving from Chayse Pyle, Maddy Kaldenburg, Abbie Weldon, and Nicollette Thomson. Great defense by Maddie Robb, Danielle Rainwater, Rubi Alverado, and chloe keating. Great offense from Mandy Axelrod, Schae Nelson, Haley Ferrell, and Cameron Gourle. Great season ladies, finishing with a final record of 3-1.

8th grade Purple B vs Bear Branch (0-6 loss)
8th grade Gold A vs Tomball (0-23 loss)
8th grade Gold B vs Tomball (14-20 loss)
7th Grade Purple Football: The 7th grade Purple teams traveled to Magnolia this week to play Bear Branch.  The Purple A-Team found themselves in an early hole and ran out of time to mount a comeback, losing 12 to 21. The 7th grade Purple B-Team played and tied 7 to 7.  Good luck next week against the Magnolia Bulldogs.
7th Grade Gold Football:  The 7th grade Gold A-Team defeated Tomball Jr. High 14-12.  Jordan Hood started things off, throwing a 50 yard touchdown to Ben Shields.  Jody Miller ran for a 50 yard touchdown after Cameron Putska threw a devastating block.  The defense played great all night.  Jordan Hood also had an interception.  Great job!  The 7th grade Gold B-Team lost this week to Tomball.  Paxton Simmons and Mason Dupuis each had long runs but it was not enough to pull out the win.
8th Grade Purple Football: The 8th grade Purple A-Team also played Bear Branch.  The Bears fought hard and played very hard, but were defeated 19-48.  Kevon Hill, Gage Arnold, and Colton Wilson each scored a touchdown.  The Purple Bears will travel to Magnolia Jr High next Tuesday.  The 8th grade Purple B-Team played Bear Branch this week.  The game was a defensive battle all the way through, and the Bears fought hard.  Unfortunately, the Bears fell short of the win, losing 6-0.  Please come out and support your team. Good job Bears from all the coaches.
8th Grade Gold Football: The Montgomery Gold Team traveled to Tomball this week to take on the Cougars.  The 8th grade Gold A-Team had a hard fight on their hands and played hard and fought all night long.  The Bears defense was on the field a lot in this game and gave everything they had all night.  The Bears offense worked hard all night long but never found the end zone in this one as the Bears fell to the Cougars 23-0.  Great job for fighting hard all the way to the end of the game.  The B-Team turned out to be a nail biter.  The Bears offense ran up and down the field on the Cougars all night.  The Bears defense also came ready to play as they held the Cougars to only 7 points in the first half.  The second half would be no different from the first as both teams fought hard, but the Bears fell a little short in the end in this one as the Cougars held for the win 20-13.  Great job Bears.

Volleyball Highlights

7th Grade Volleyball: The 7th grade Lady Bear A-Team fell to the Bear Branch Lady Bears last night.  The girls played two hard games and made a comeback towards the end.  We fell short by just a few points in the last game.  Good luck next week against the Waller Lady Bulldogs!  The 7th grade B-Team came out last night ready to play and dominated Bear Branch 25-20 & 25-18.  Great job Lady Bears on the win and good luck next week on your last game against Waller!  The 7th grade C-Team did it again!  Another great day!  They went three games with Bear Branch and came out on top.  Great job Lady Bears!
8th Grade Volleyball: Last night our 8th grade Lady Bear A-Team took the court against Bear Branch. The girls played great defense the first game battling point for point, but fell short 25-27. During the second game, the girls fought back after being down 10-17. Our smart offense and tough serves was not enough to finish with the win. Way to battle last night girls!  The 8th grade B-Team took the court last night against Bear Branch.  We had Brooke Turley, Felicity Collier, Lauren Perry, Sierra Seale, Taylor Skinner, and Macie Lemens take the court first and defeated Bear Branch 25-15.  Next we had Abby Young, Bailee Kieselhorst, Anyah Ditta, Allie Spitalerie, Clarianne Aguilar, and Mackenzie Coleman fight hard in the second game but wasn’t enough.  Going into the third game, the Lady Bears were hungry for victory and looking to defend their home court.  Down by 9, they battled back but it was a little too late, losing 26-24.  Very proud of the way you played ladies! The 8th grade Volleyball C-Team played against Bear Branch last night.  Battling point for point, we ended up losing in two games.  You fought hard, ladies and hit the floor well.  We will get them next time.

7th Grade Purple Football: The 7th grade Purple Football Teams traveled to Tomball this week to battle the Cougars.  The Purple A-Team came out and played a tough, physical Cougar team.  Although the Bears had several opportunities, Montgomery was never able to score.  The final score was 28-0.  Keep working hard Bears and good luck next week!  The Purple B-Team was able to overcome a first half deficit and tie the game up after halftime.  The Bears defense played tough and kept Tomball out of the endzone.  Montgomery B-Team finished with a tie of 6-6.
7th Grade Gold Football: The 7th grade Gold A-Team dominated Waller this week, winning 29-6.  The defense had a great game, getting two safeties, and featured Ben Shields snatching an impressive one- handed interception.  In the game, Trayvon Franklin scored twice, Keaton Bussell scored once.  Jordan Hood threw a touchdown to Ben Shields and an extra point to Brock Nickerson.  Great job Gold Team! A monster performance by the 7th grade Gold B-Team resulted in a 34-0 win this week over the Waller Bulldogs.  It was truly a team effort with the offense scoring on every possession but one, and the defense denying Waller even one first down for the complete shut out.  Good job Bears!!!
8th Grade Purple Football: The 8th grade Purple A-Team played Tomball Tuesday night. The game was an offensive showcase from the start with Gage Arnold scoring 2 touchdowns, Jacob Gallatin scoring 1 touchdown and 1 extra point, and Kevon rounding out the scoring with 1 touchdown. Unfortunately, the Bears fell short of a win, losing 26-38. The Bears will face Bear Branch Middle school on Wednesday, October 10th. Please come out and support your Bears. The 8th grade Purple B-Team played Tomball Tuesday night. The game was a defensive battle from start to finish. The Bears Teddy Sherrill had the ball on the last possession of the game and scored the winning TD. The Bears defeated Tomball 6-0 to continue their undefeated season. Good Job Bears from all the coaches.
8th Grade Gold Football: The 8th grade Gold A-Team also traveled to Waller last night. This was a great game by both teams. Montgomery received the opening kickoff and wasted no time putting points on the board as the offense drove the ball down the field and QB Justin Garza found Chad Phillips through the air to put the Bears up 6-0. Both teams' defenses would not allow alot of points as the score held at 6-0 at the half. The second half started and the Bears defense came out and stuffed the Bulldogs. The Bears got the ball back and it only took one play as Josh Pruett took the handoff and rumbled 55 yards to pay dirt. The Bulldogs never gave up, and on their drive they ran it in for the score and added the PAT to make the score 12-8. But the story of the night would be the Bears defense as they only gave up 8 points and would force 6 turnovers on the night to help the Bears get their first win on the year 12-8. The 8th grade Gold B-Team traveled to Waller last night to take on the Bulldogs from Waller Jr. High School. This would turn out to be an exciting up and down game. The Bears received the opening kickoff and wasted no time as they took the ball straight down the field and Hunter Grimmett took the handoff and ran through the defense to the house. The Bears defense held the Bulldogs and gave the ball back to the offense for a second drive that ended with the same result as Carson DeCoster ran the ball in for the score. The Bears defense was the real story of the night as they would only allow 8 points on the game as the Bears finished the night on top with a final score of 20-8. Great job guys from Coach Schramm and Coach Payne.

The girls battled with the cats from the beginning. In the first game the girls came out strong but fell short to the Wildcats 17-25. During the 2nd game, the Ladybears had excellent serves and played great defense, refusing to lose with a score of 25-20. The 3rd game was a point for point battle, but the girls could not finish with the win. Way to fight last night girls!
