Hopefully everyone is getting into their routine after the first week of school.  Thank you to all of the teachers and staff for a great start at Montgomery Junior High!  As a member of the MJH PTO, you will receive weekly e-blasts with information regarding what's going on at the junior high, upcoming events, scores from the games, etc.  If you have friends who are not receiving the e-blasts, please remind them to join MJH PTO.  Click here for a copy of the membership form.  An e-blast will go out weekly to all PTO members.  If you have information that you would like included in the e-blast, please contact me at nunnmama@gmail.com .

A Message from Our PTO President
Welcome back! Whether you are new to MISD or a returning parent, thank you for making the decision to join the Montgomery Junior High Parent Teacher Organization. We are looking forward to a great year. Our children may be older, but there are still many ways to get involved at MJH!  Our first PTO meeting will be held on September 12th at 8:45 in the MJH Library. I hope to see many of you there, as it’s a great way to become involved and network with other parents. Feel free to bring a friend! Everyone is welcome.
This year, we will be utilizing a program called Signup Genius to recruit volunteers for events on campus. When volunteer opportunities arise, a link to the event will be sent out and you can sign up from the convenience of your own home. The best part is that reminders are sent out and it’s easy to make a change if needed.
If you plan to volunteer on campus, MISD requires that a Volunteer Services form be completed. Click on this link, fill out the form and return it to one of the MISD campuses. You only have to complete one form even if you have multiple children in the district.
Our main fundraiser as a PTO is through the sale of “Spirit Wear.” You will have an opportunity to purchase caps, t-shirts, hoodies, and blankets at Meet the Teacher on September 10th . Plan to come a few minutes early to shop in the school lobby. We will also take orders if your size isn’t available!
Thank you again for being a part of the PTO. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions on how to become more involved! My email is rdarby@consolidated.net
I would love to hear from you!
Have a great year!
Rhonda Darby, PTO President
Thank You!
THANK YOU to the many parents who helped out or sent in items for the Back to School Teacher Breakfast.  We had a great response from you and the breakfast was greatly appreciated by the teachers and staff at MJH!  A special thank you to Debbie Arrants, Mr. Shifflet and the custodial staff, as they really were critical in facilitating for us.
