8th grade Volleyball: This past weekend the Lady Bear 8th grade volleyball team earned 2nd place at our home B team tournament.  The ladies faced Willow Wood and easily handled them 25-11 and 25-14.  Next they faced McCullough and fell 25-13 and 25-13.  Although the score did not reflect it, this was the toughest match all season and not once did the ladies lay down and take defeat.  They stayed positive and hung in there until the very end.  To close out the day the Lady Bears faced York and defeated them 25-15 and 25-19.  The Lady Bear B team lost in 3 to Tomball this week. It was a hard loss.  The Lady Bear A team fought a tough 3 game battle with Tomball. The girls played point for point but couldn't get the win, losing 24-26 in the 3rd game. Both teams are looking to rebound at their home game against Willow Wood on Thursday.
7th grade Volleyball: The B team beat both York & Willow Wood at their volleyball tournament this weekend. They only fell to McCullough, but placed 2nd overall. Congrats and keep up the hard work!  The 7th grade Lady Bear volleyball team lost a hard fight against Tomball (15-25), (26-24), (22-25) this week.  It was a battle from the first point!  The girls held their head up and played with integrity.  The 7th grade B team had a victory over Tomball last night. The girls won easily in their first game, outscoring Tomball 25-14. They then had a close match, but continued to fight in their 26-24 win. Congrats girls and good luck this weekend! Good luck this weekend at the Willis tournament!
