7th Grade Purple & Gold A-Team Football: The 7th grade Gold & Purple A-Teams played each other this week in a hard fought game.  The Gold A-Team won 13-12.  The game was extremely competitive and the coaches are proud of their performance.  Standouts for the Purple team were Seth Quinlan and Jawon Raglen.  For Gold, they were Jordan Hood, Parker McCown, and Ben Shields.  Great job!
7th Grade Purple & Gold B-Team Football: The 7th grade Purple & Gold B-Teams played against each other for their first district game.  Both teams fought hard and played well, but the Purple B-Team ended up prevailing in the end, 13-0.  Good job Bears!  Keep working hard and build on your successes.
8th Grade Purple & Gold A-Team Football: The 8th grade Gold & Purple A-Teams also took on each other this week at home.  This game would be one for the ages. These two teams stepped onto the field with the same idea in mind, and that was to win the game and it showed from the first snap. The Gold Team would put the first points on the board and held that lead going into halftime at 6-0.  The Purple Team did not stop and in the third quarter they brought the game to a tie as they found pay dirt for the first time 6-6. Both teams fought hard back and forth and then, with 1:25 left to play, the Purple team would score to take the lead for the last time as they edged out the Gold team for the win, 13-6.  Purple remains undefeated for the year. This was a great hard hitting football game. Great job from all of the coaches.
8th Grade Purple & Gold B-Team Football The Montgomery 8th grade Gold B-Team was at home this week to take on the Montgomery Purple B-Team.  This game was set to be a battle and it lived up to the hype. Both teams played hard and played until the last seconds of the game. This game would go back and forth as the Gold team scored and the Purple team answered right back. Then the Purple team scored and the Gold team answered back. Neither team was willing to give up any more points on defense as the game would end in a tie 12-12. Great Job from all of the coaches.  Both teams played an awesome game.
